III. Grand Master Huen-Yuan leads Weixinism for world peace.

4.Initiating TV channels and forums to propagate Dharma, broadcast Peace Culture, and promote world peace.

Television today plays a critical role in multiculturalism. Its influence touches every corner of the world and spreads throughout the Dharmic realm. In 1997, Grand Master Huen-Yuan began broadcasts on Peace culture and orthodox Yi-Ching and Feng Shui studies through the television media. Twelve years on, his programs address multiple aspects including “Feng Shui and human life,” “Entry courses on the essence of Yi-Ching,” “Feng Shui in the factory,” “Feng Shui in the home,” “Feng Shui in cemeteries,” sutra lectures, and so on. On February 2nd, 1998, the Taiwan Television Company launched a program entitled “The Myriad Facets of Yi-Ching and Feng Shui”, broadcast from 6:00 to 6:30 every morning and hosted by Grand Master Huen-Yuan. Over 4,300 episodes have been broadcast so far and it is the highest rated program in its time slot. The program illustrates the application of Yi-Ching and Feng Shui in real life and integrates Buddhism and ancient Chinese wisdom to benefit all life. In the area of Dharma promotion, he employs Feng Shui study, which is related to life stabilization, and teaches the application of correct Feng Shui ideas in viewers’ careers, family lives, school, health, environmental protection, diplomacy and other realms. With more proper knowledge and applications of Feng Shui, the Grand Master hopes viewers can improve their life and social environment through Feng Shui rules and achieve an ideal state in which all live in peace and enjoy their work, every family is happy, and society is in harmony.

On November 3rd, 2004, Master Huen-Yuan began delivering lectures on “Feng Shui in My Home” from 11:30 to 12:00 every night on Taiwan Television’s digital television channel. His target audience is youths and teenagers, and he works to introducing them the right way of Yi-Ching and Feng Shui to enable their own application of ideas to careers, families, and future. The ongoing program has achieved profound results and been widely praised. Master Huen-Yuan is rapidly spreading the news and substance of Peace culture, Yi-Ching and Feng Shui through the media of television. He is giving the keys to universal harmony to increasing numbers of people from all walks of life throughout the world. The impact he has had on world peace is profound and fundamental. After 3,000 episodes of the morning program “The Myriad Facets of Yi-Ching and Feng Shui”, Grand Master Huen-Yuan re-oriented the show and, on February 27th, 2007, launched a new program, entitled “Let's Learn Yi-Ching”. The new show provided a more systematic guide for the general public to study the quintessential product of Chinese culture - the Yi-Ching. He also used the program as a platform to deliver lectures on Confucian peace thought–Li Yun Da Tong (The Great Unity), which explains the Yi. Grand Master Huen-Yuan said that, “From the 3001st episode on, we will work to motivate everyone to study Yi-Ching. This is the second phase of realizing the Pure Land of Taiwan. Once we are finished, we will continue to realize the Universal Pure Land.” He also remarked that, “In 21st century, world culture will be Chinese culture. What I mean is the world will adopt the culture of Yi-Ching, which is also Peace culture. Only Yi-Ching can bring us world peace and universal harmony.”

Grand Master Huen-Yuan announced the establishment of Wei Xin TV in 2009. Weixinism now has its own TV channel, which broadcasts twenty-four hours a day in Taiwan and overseas. It is also available over the Internet. In addition, the program “Wei Xin World Events” is presented by Grand Master Huen-Yuan to promulgate wise opinions and true knowledge in support of world peace, the integration of different ethnic groups, and the attainment of social harmony to create a peaceful, trouble-free Pure Land for humanity. The Master’s dedication to the creation of world peace has been witnessed by the entire world. His contribution to propagating the Yi-Ching and Feng Shui and promoting world peace via broadcast media is enormous and far-reaching.

In order to promote Dharma throughout Taiwan and overseas, Master Huen-Yuan has maintained a busy domestic and international lecture schedule for many years. Lectures allow him to communicate with the public directly. This has been deeply effective and rewarding, as he is able in these activities to talk to and resolve people’s troubles and confusion face-to-face. Lecture topics have been well received, as they cover the right approach to and knowledge of Yi-Ching and Feng Shui, which can be practically applied to family, school, and business life. A consistent message in Master Huen-Yuan’s lectures is that, “Our approach is to promote Chinese cultural orthodoxy - Yi-Ching and Feng Shui. Yi-Ching is orthodoxy and Feng Shui is culture. We must understand the truth of them in our heart. By studying Yi-Ching and Feng Shui, we learn to protect ourselves, to avoid harming others, to help others, and to create a paradise and real world peace together.” He has given hundreds of such Dharma sermons for nine years, since 2001, without break.

Grand Master Huen-Yuan’s teaching has reached beyond the borders of Taiwan since 1998, with active efforts now in the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Northeast and Southeast Asia, and Mainland China. This international outreach has already had a major impact on the promotion of Chinese Peace culture and the development of world peace. Master Huen-Yuan teaches us that, “I have been working with Dharma for twenty years and have come to one conclusion. Yi is absolutely necessary to the realization of universal harmony and world peace. Yi is “unity”, and this unity works within the heart. Yi is the correct path that transcends all secular rules. If people in the 21st century wish to have hope in and cognizance of the future Pure Land, we must begin with Yi…. This is what I have realized after twenty years of practice. It is the foundation of my vow to spread the Chinese orthodoxy of Yi-Ching and Feng Shui studies throughout the nation and to the world. Whenever I come to a place that speaks to me, I promote the truth of Yi-Ching and Feng Shui with a wish to create an earthly paradise for all.”

When preaching the Dharma overseas between 2005 and 2010, Master Huen-Yuan not only gave general lectures on Yi-Ching and Feng Shui and their connection to business administration. He offered practical services to Taiwanese businesspeople worldwide, especially in Southeast Asia and Mainland China. He advised on the proper Feng Shui locations and positioning of companies and factories as well as investments, which greatly enhanced their commercial performance and economic stability and made Taiwanese enterprises more competitive in their overseas operations. This has greatly enhanced the enthusiasm that attends his lectures wherever he visits.
